The Employee Relations Specialist provides direct assistance to employees and managers in the interpretation of personnel policies, procedures and guidelines. This role also serves as a liaison with departmental management, employees and HR Managers regarding employee relations issues and HR initiatives.
-Counsel business partners on effective ways of resolving employee relations issues that are supported by the Companys policies and guidelines. -Provide guidance to managers regarding their employees performance and assist with creation of appropriate development plans. -Investigate employee concerns and work with management to maintain an environment free of harassment, bullying and discrimination. -Gathers and utilizes information, considers short and long term solutions, manages risk and makes timely decisions. -Partner with HRGs and CoEs to provide appropriate support for business initiatives, processes and procedures and by acting as liaison to field locations. -Analyze workplace metrics to understand trends and create plans to address trends. -Counsel and assist business partners with ongoing case management of lost time due to short-term disability, long term disability, FMLA and Workers Compensation injuries to ensure the healthy and timely return to work of employees at minimum cost to the Company. -Educates all levels in the organization on topics related to human resource matters and updates. This may include formal presentations and topics may include general management practices, employee on boarding, and other key initiatives. -Assist in the creation and support of programs that foster a safe working environment for employees, such as reward and recognition programs or employee survey action plans.
