| Job Description |
General Summary
The Receptionist will perform a variety of essential tasks that support activities by any one or more members of the Development Office. On a day to day basis, the Receptionist may be required to assume responsibility and ensure uninterrupted operations within the office routine. In some cases, the Receptionist must be able to step in and handle partial assignments that have a priority status or deadline requiring a flexible work schedule.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
* Serve as Receptionist. * Receive all department visitors and deliveries. * Receive, process, and distribute all incoming and outgoing mail. * Handle extensive and sensitive telephone requests and inquiries. * Assist Office Manager with administrative management, time reporting, etc. * Assist with the management of office equipment and order supplies. * Assist with mailings as needed. * Schedule and manage meetings and conferences. * Participate in the overall team effort and quality of service towards the efficient operation of the department and University. * Perform other duties as assigned. |

| Job Requirements |
Minimum Requirements:
* High School Diploma. * 1-2 years secretarial experience with evidence of promotions. * 1-2 years experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Access. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills. * Telephone etiquette. * Excellent organizational skills. * Ability to multi-task. * Conscientious and dependable disposition. * Ability to be a self-starter and team player. * Interest in personal development. * Manual dexterity for using computer, fax, printer, telephone. * Ability to sit for extended periods of time. * Bending and ability to lift maximum of 20 lbs. * Ability to walk for short periods of time.
Preferred Requirements:
* Some college credits.
