 Job Description

This full-time position trains home patients in our clinic on the safe and effective operation and maintenance of all home therapies dialysis equipment through a formal Home Therapies training program. Educate patients and family regarding End Stage Renal Disease and the delivery of the Kidney Options program. Provide ongoing education to patients regarding their renal disease, peritoneal, or vascular access and home dialysis therapy, and other related health conditions.

This is a position for the Home Therapy PD and HHD Programs.

Position may require some local travel, and some on-call.

This position offers:



M-F day shift, no weekends, no holidays.

Comprehensive orientation and training program to nurses with no prior dialysis experience.

Low nurse to patient ratio.

High patient interaction.

Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (R.N.). Current appropriate state RN licensure
Minimum of one-year medical-surgical/ICU experience preferred. Dialysis experience preferred. PD experience preferred.


 Job Requirements

Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (R.N.)
Current appropriate state licensure
SPECIAL SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS :
Successfully complete a training course in the theory and practice of dialysis therapies
Competent at operating all Home Therapies related equipment
Successfully complete CPR Certification with maintenance as required
Icd-9 coding Training
Demonstrated teaching abilities Minimum of one-year medical-surgical nursing experience preferred, ICU experience preferred Minimum of one-year dialysis experience preferred, peritoneal experience preferred. Hemodialysis experience required.
