This individual will design and develop reporting & analyses to support CDW's retention, acquisition & reactivation objectives. Focus on monitoring business KPI's, program performance and design & develop a variety of other decision-support and strategic-planning projects (including preparation, maintenance and use of customer & prospect databases to segment, model and analyze customer purchase behavior).
Essential Functions:
* Work with internal customers to define intelligence requirements and document project details in the business intelligence team's project management system. Work with immediate manager to set prioritization. * Design and develop programs in SAS or other business intelligence tools to support requirements * Create and code SAS programs and Excel spreadsheets to identify: * Behavior Customer segments, through absolute and relative measures * Performance by and within segments * Valuation of customers by acquisition and purchase channels * Purchase behavior by brand and category over a customer's lifecycle * Purchase Channel Analysis across all of marketing vehicles * Impact of sales ownership and activities on the customer * Demographic and business factors influencing customer performance * Financial outcome of marketing's multi-media activities * Entering data manually from reports and electronically through extraction from other files and databases through Excel to SAS to create and maintain analysis files. * Development of ad hoc queries & strategic dashboards to monitor key performance metrics of marketing's business units in Cognos. * Design and develop reporting and analytics to support the key internal clients: segment marketing, product & brand management, e-commerce & merchandising, direct marketing, and sales. * Work with immediate supervisor to package and present insights and learnings from analyses to share with internal stakeholders.
Additional Responsibilities:
* Evaluate ways to improve procedures to streamline data delivery through the Cognos platform. * Integrate Market data and CDW transactional data into projects to provide more market-facing insights.
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
* BA/BS minimum, graduate degree in business or direct marketing preferred (also mathematics, economics) * 4-6 years experience in direct marketing sales analysis or support, market research, sales analysis, econometrics, or statistics. * SAS, Cognos, ProClarity or other analytical or business intelligence tool experience is a must * PC literacy, experience in using spreadsheets, word processing and presentation software. * Strong analytical skills. Ability to problem solve independently. Able to analyze large volumes of raw data, draw conclusions, and develop actionable recommendations * Relational database understanding preferred. * Highly detail oriented with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment * Excellent verbal and written communication skills
