Job Description:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
ﾷ Provides timely, friendly and courteous service.
ﾷ Introduces self and greets guests using first/last names as appropriate.
ﾷ Provides superior table service by providing guests with menu/special information, suggesting beverages and ultimately taking guests beverage orders.
ﾷ Maintains up-to-date knowledge of all menu items, outlet hours and prices as well as composition of food/beverage menu items, daily specials and proper beverage placing procedures.
ﾷ Clears tables making sure they are clear of all plates, glasses, etc.
ﾷ Adheres to all guidelines specific to outlet and Harrahs Joliet Casino and Hotel.
ﾷ Assists the outlet in other areas of service as required.
ﾷ Acts as a role model to other employees and always presents oneself as a credit to Harrahs and encourages others to do the same.
ﾷ Adheres to all regulatory, company and department policies and procedures.
ﾷ Completes all other duties as assigned. |

| Job Requirements |
REQUIREMENTS:
ﾷ High school diploma or equivalent required.
ﾷ Restaurant/food service experience is preferred.
ﾷ Exceptional customer service skills.
ﾷ Must be able to work a flexible schedule to include nights, weekends and holidays.
JOB DEMANDS:
ﾷ Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers and employees
ﾷ Must be able to respond calmly and make rational decisions when handling customer needs and concerns
ﾷ Must be able to stand, walk and balance a full service tray (approx. 20 pounds) throughout entire shift.
ﾷ Excellent oral and written communication skills
ﾷ Ability to stand and walk for entire shift
ﾷ Must be able to listen ad respond to visual and aural cues
ﾷ Must be able to tolerate areas containing varying noise, temperature levels, and crowds
