DESCRIPTION
Comcast Sports Group operates 10 sports networks that deliver 2,400
sporting events annually and sports news and analysis to 40 million
cable and satellite homes. Comcast Sports Group's networks are: Comcast
SportsNet Bay Area, Comcast SportsNet California, Comcast SportsNet
Chicago, Comcast SportsNet Mid-Atlantic, Comcast SportsNet New England,
Comcast SportsNet Northwest, Comcast SportsNet Philadelphia, SNY, The
Mtn.-Mountain West Sports Network, and CSS. Comcast Sports Group also
manages New England Cable News (NECN), the nation's largest regional

OVERVIEW: The Multimedia Editor is responsible for editing all broadband content on CSNChicago.com into the appropriate formats for distribution on the web site.
Additionally, the editor will identify, prioritize and schedule video content to be leveraged from the network on a daily basis to ensure that the site provides users with the most relevant, informative and interesting Chicago sports broadband content possible.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Edit daily video content for distribution on CSNChicago.com.
Coordinate original content ideas with Multimedia Producer and Web Producer staff
Coordinate and edit hourly CSNChicago.com news updates for timely posting on the web site
Knowledge base of Chicago sports with ability to select interesting and compelling video content
Attend daily news meetings to coordinate on-air and offline efforts
Manage and schedule daily video offerings from CSN Chicago television programming
Coordinate with CSN newsroom and linear T.V. producers to repurpose content
Provide potential video distribution partners with CSNChicago.com content in the appropriate formats.

| Job Requirements |
Minimum of 3 years experience, preferably sports
Must have strong working knowledge of Avid, Final Cut Pro and related applications
Non-linear computer based editing experience
Knowledge of media manager and multiple formats
Experience with converting and compressing media for web
Strong editorial decision maker; ability to know what makes valuable content for CSNChicago.com
Ability to work under tight time restrictions
Ability to work in a fast paced, high pressure environment with a positive attitude
Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays
Self starter with demonstrated initiative
Must be detailed oriented with strong organization skills
Handles multiple demands and competing priorities simultaneously in a strict deadline-oriented environment
Teamwork - can work independently and in a small group
Bachelor of Arts in communications, media, computer programming or related fields (or equivalent experience)
