Job Summary Inspect incoming material to ensure items meet required specifications. Distribute materials, parts or products from outside vendors to correct locations within local facilities. Loads and unloads trucks using forklift or other material handling equipment. Works with department supervisors, planners and other personnel to that assure changing priorities and needs can be met. Job Functions # Receive shipments from vendors, and inspect all incoming materials and manufactured products, including subassemblies and components. Complete required documentation and enter into inventory system. Confirm shipment appears to have correct parts, correct quantity and if necessary, determine the applicable specifications and dimensions to be measured and instruments/tools needed. Read and interpret blueprints to determine acceptability of parts and confirm part dimensions and tolerances using appropriate measuring equipment and compare to part specifications and dimensional drawings. May contact vendor for discrepancies or Purchasing Department to resolve problems. # Assure that incoming parts, supplies and materials for internal use are verified and delivered to proper storage locations or departments within the local facilities. Unload materials using forklift or other material handling equipment. Maintain stored materials in a safe and orderly manner. Ability to drive and operate a variety of material handling equipment from fork trucks, front reaches, motorized pallet jacks and swing reaches. Stocking of finished goods materials into various stock locations. . # Coordinate, locate, retrieve and deliver the material received to and from the stockroom. Determines the proper sequence of picking by department work schedules to ensure meeting departmental requirements. # Isolate and tag nonconforming materials that do not meet specifications. Generate nonconforming material report. Participate in discussions regarding defective materials. # Work with production planners, vendors and buyers to expedite orders in accordance with production plans and priorities. # Suggest improvements in sampling and inspection methods and processes. # Equipment Operation - Manual precession measuring tools, including calipers, micrometers, clearance gauges, etc. Computer driven optical measuring system. Delivery truck, forklift, and pallet jack. |

| Job Requirements |
# Job Qualifications # High school diploma or Equivalent, plus 1-2 years experience in a general factory, warehouse, inventory or industrial environment with a minimum of six (6) months experience using a variety of measurement tools/devices. # Requires ability to read numbers and text accurately, learn to use inventory system and computer terminal, and learn to operate material moving equipment, including forklifts and related machinery. # Must be able to learn, understand and apply US Military Standards 109B and 105E. # Must have current drivers license and good driving record.
