Job Description

The Manufacturing Manager is responsible to transition products from prototype to production manufacturing. The candidate will manage existing contract manufacturers and suppliers. The candidate will manage circuit and unit level builds from prototype, through pilot, and into production manufacturing. The candidate will also identify, evaluate, and select new contract manufactures as needed. The candidate will manage all issues in the transition from development to manufacturing as well as coordinate with hardware, test, and software teams on the resolution of design issues.

Responsibilities:
' Manage electro-mechanical product launches through contract manufacturers. This includes managing suppliers to ensure that deliverable dates are met.
' Track supply chain and work with buyers to resolve sourcing issues.
' Coordinate engineering changes through manufacturing. Ensure rollout and affectivity dates are met.
' Manage corrective action plans to ensure that defect issues are resolved.
' Institute and report quality metrics.
' Coordinate with test engineering to track field and factory failures. Provide reports with recommendations for product improvement to engineering team.
' Support production meetings at the contract manufacturers and provide bridge between them and engineering.

Job Requirements

Knowledge/ Skills:
' Candidates must possess strong project management skills.
' Must be dependable and able to work unsupervised.
' Must possess a strong attention to detail.
' Proficiency with MS Office, specifically Word, Outlook and Excel.

Experience Requirements:
Requirements:
' Bachelor's Degree in Manufacturing, Industrial, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering plus 5-10 years relevant experience in electronics assembly or manufacturing;
' 3 years experience in new product introductions.
' 3 years experience in manufacturing quality and design reliability of electrical products.
' Demonstrated understanding of product costing and production cost management concepts 3+ years experience in a production environment.
' Frequent domestic travel to contract manufactures (~40%).
