You as an Position Title will -
You as an Underwriting Manager will -
" Managing Underwriting staff including hiring, training, terminating, annual reviews, motivating and monitoring all daily activities and contract underwriters (onsite & offsite).
" Answer underwriting product, policy and procedure questions from correspondents, underwriters, account executives, contract underwriters, onsite and off-site.
" Respond in writing to NCM Quality Control and investor post closing and on-site audits within deadlines given.
" Review Automated Underwriting cautions and denials, assist underwriters with difficult files, review for approval large loans which are above staff underwriters loan authority up to 2 million dollars.
" Assist the National Underwriting Manager with distribution of product development information, staff meetings, communication with senior management and policy and procedure creation and implementation. |

| Job Requirements |
You and your skills
" Bachelors degree or Educational Equivalent
" Minimum of 5 years supervisory experience
" Minimum of five years experience in Underwriting including conventional, jumbo and government loan products.
" Minimum of five (5) years experience as Direct Endorsement Underwriter and and VA automatic underwriter/LAPP authority preferred
" Excellent verbal and written communication skills with both internal and external sources
" Ability to perform effectively under constant deadlines, volume pressures and potentially high dollar loses
" Ability to effectively organize operations for both short term and strategic planning.
" Ability to partner with operations and sales teams
